Old Software

Had some old software in attic and found that I could recycle down in Managua.  Win, win.   Tech in Managua was really excited because the equipment there is from the late 90’s and hard to maintain.  Now he can rework some of the machines.

So, been reading Kevin Kelly’s book, New Rules for the New Economy.  Written originally in 1998.  Hard to believe that so much that was predicted or started over ten years ago is now taken for granted. Of course, some organizations are still playing catch up.  Now I have a professional network that stretches from Eskishir, Turkey to Managua, Nicaragua to Colorado Springs where I teach online while looking out over the Detroit River towards Canada.

“Communication is the foundation of society, of our culture, of our humanity, of our own individual identity, and of all economic systems. This is why networks are such a big deal.”  K. Kelly, 1998, New Rules for the New Economy.
