More Social Media Life Experiences

Really getting more and more impressed about the uses of social media in my life as a researcher in a multi-cultural setting.  Remember how I described using it to find a number of beanie babies to take with me to Nicaragua.  Well, I used it again when the luggage containing the beanie babies was “lost in Miami.”  I tweeted and asked friends to retweet my inability to recover my bag after two complete days.  And half-way through the third day, the bag was found and delivered.   What a relief.  Here are some pictures of the students from the Nicaraguan University painting scenery for  Nicaraguan Youth Troupe Performs “Animals from Paradise”.  This project which will include the performances of underserved youth from Managua was backed by contributions to Indiegogo, a crowd funding site similar to Kickstarter.  See  the sponsor http://innerchangeworks.org/
